Dr. Frank Shearer, 101

Dr. Frank Shearer is an avid water skier. To the left, he is pictured with his water ski in a print ad that appeared in major publications, such as Money, Fortune, SmartMoney, Forbes, Business Week, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times for Genworth Financial, an insurance and investment company.
       Dr. Shearer practiced medicine for 50-plus  years. He's been an active man whose pastimes have included horseback riding, camping, fishing, flying (he's a private pilot) and water skiing, a sport he took up in the 1930s. He still water skis occasionally.  
   He has been featured in National Geographic magazine (November 2005), as well as the March 2006 issue of Water Skier Magazine.
       Dr. Shearer celebrated his 101st birthday at a large gathering of family and friends.
